One night during my junior year of college at Florida State, I watched a documentary called The Ivory Game about elephant poaching. I have been obsessed with elephants since I was a little kid. As I sat there and witnessed the horror, my eyes fulls of tears, I realized something - I could not live life just existing. I was too fortunate for anything less than the pursuit of a life that gave me purpose.

And so the story began.

Years on, I have had more twists and turns than I ever would have imagined. I have had jobs and pursuits as a lawyer, wildlife conservationist, travel agency owner, and sales executive. All along the road towards the life I was after.

I have always loved travel, but it was in 2018 when I studied abroad in London that my hunger for it grew significantly greater. I began to read the tales of Victorian explorers that chartered out into the unknown - their adventures that of legend. I wanted one of those - a great adventure.

At the end of 2023, events lined up that lead me to my ultimate path. I decided I would create content that documented my travels, in the hopes that my story would inspire others to do the same. I wanted to pay it back to the people that inspired me to go after an incredible life.

But where would I begin?

My fascination with elephants lead me to develop a curiosity for Africa as kid, eventually visiting for the first time on a trip to Tanzania in 2014. I would go on to visit Uganda, South Africa, and Egypt, as well. While I am up for a trip to absolutely anywhere, Africa is special.

After much deliberation, the decision was made. I would embark on a solo backpacking trip across Africa for six months, visiting four of the five regions.

My content focusses on three pillars true to me - travel, fitness, and the pursuit of purpose.

My purpose in all this is to share my journey of creating a life that I love, and inspiring you to do the same.
